How important are bollards for safety? If you watch the video bellow you will see why bollards are so important for pedestrian safety. A young girl walks along a path in a convenience store car park and the bollard saves the girl from serious injury or maybe death from an out of control car. Moments before the impact the young girl was walking in front of the bollards. This accident could have been a lot worse if the girl remained in front of the bollards prior to the impact. It is really important that you stick to paths and walkways in car parks, the bollards are there to protect pedestrians from these sort of incidents.
